Investing In Your Wardrobe & Yourself

This episode is all about fashion and how to build a wardrobe that makes you look & feel your best.

Ali and Amanda open the show answering a question from a Blogette about lipstick vs lipgloss. Then we get serious about fashion and what the building blocks of a good wardrobe are. Ali gives her perspective as a stylist and Amanda shares her opinion as a fashion blogger. If you’ve ever asked yourself “Should I buy this?”— we will teach you to stop second guessing yourself.

We also talk about getting rid of clothes and Amanda dishes about throwing out a perfectly cute Ella Moss top because it reminded her of a truly awful ex-boyfriend.

Annabelle DeSisto

We welcome our first guest for episode 4, the brilliant and hilarious Annabelle DeSisto of the Adderall and Compliments Podcast ( https://adderallandcompliments.com) If you’re an A&C Kitten, thank you for listening, we love you.

In this episode we discuss how amazing Annabelle’s hair is (to a nearly obsessive level), Joan Rivers (Annabelle’s former boss), Postmates, why needing cash is a complete nightmare, Kim Kardashian, The Drybar Book and compare the post-jail styles of Paris Hilton and Teresa Giudice.

But we mostly talk about our collective favorite docu-series The Real Housewives. Specifically, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, caftans, how Kim Richards ruins everything, Lisa Rinna, Kim Zolciak vs Erika Jayne, Bethenny Frankel’s hustle and Sojna Morgan’s townhouse. Ali spills all about styling Lisa Vanderpump and what it’s really like at Villa Rosa. Spoiler Alert: Giggy is alive.

However, if you aren’t a Housewives person, we also dish on lots of other things including  Scheana  Shay from Vanderpump Rules, Lilly Pulitzer dresses, plastic surgery, CoolSculpting, being an only child, Amanda’s Gossip Girl life, staircases, marble flooring, bidets, Queer as Folk and vagina juice.

Annabelle also shares an inspirational story about how one of the Kittens bought her crystal kit and won the lottery!

Can someone please come up with a better sign off for us?

Bad Malls & Fast Fashion

In episode two, Ali and Amanda talk about malls, the good the bad and the ones that desperately need to be bulldozed. Growing up in NYC (Amanda) and the suburbs (Ali), shopping anxiety, NYC Bloomingdales, strange SoCal chain stores, and our shared love of The Caruso Family (not the actor David Caruso). They also dish on fast fashion, H&M, Zara, Forever 21 (FOREVER), dressing room disasters with our moms, clothing care tips and velvet hangers. Ali spills some secrets about working with Lisa Vanderpump, not spending money on trends, fake vs faux, and so much more.

By the way, after the episode was recorded, Amanda saw some of the renovations at the Beverly Center and they were awful. It’s still the third realm of Hell.

Meet Ali & Amanda, #firstworldproblems & LA Fashion

Welcome to the debut episode of Things We're Too Lazy To Blog About with Ali Levine & Amanda Lauren. If you are wondering where you can get this on iTunes, the answer is you can't at the moment. It's not because we're trying to be exclusive, it's because we are still waiting for an actual human at Apple to approve the podcast. This is more annoying than a publicist who can't find your name on a guest list. But, hopefully it should be up within the next few days (possibly hours). However, all you have to do is click the play button to listen. It will even work on your phone. Thank you so much for being patient and we get it, this is totally annoying.

UPDATE: We're on iTunes, so subscribe and write a review. 5 stars please!

In this episode, celebrity stylist Ali Levine and blogger Amanda Lauren discuss why they created the podcast, first world problems such as why Amanda can't find organic kale anywhere (not even a joke), and how to get dressed in Los Angeles (aka Ali tells us what to wear because she is an authority), which is essentially a long-form explanation of why everyone here looks like a Kardashian.

We want this to be an interactive experience, so please let us know what you want us to talk about or share your feedback by emailing ThingsWereTooLazyToBlogAbout [at] gmail dot com. If email isn't your thing (or even if it is), you can also discuss your feelings publicly on our Facebook Page or just like us because you think what we are doing is awesome.
